Washington, DC: The summertime is drawing near and the summertime hours are starting to arrive. Fortunately, several bars in the country’s capital are offering exclusive summertime offers and activities.

These six locations in D.C. provide distinctive summertime bar experiences:

DC Dining Saloon Jack Rose: 2007 18th St NW

Situated in Adams Morgan, this saloon offers an abundance of whiskey selections, delicious crustaceans, balcony accommodations, and relaxing tiki bars. Jack Rose is having a summertime celebration for the whole month of June. On Thursday through Saturday, they will have a Sunny Days Happy Hour with $6 beers and half-priced snacks, and on Friday and Saturday, they will have Summer Nights with a $10 beer and shot combo.

At 1280 4th St NE, Serenata

Serenata is a full-service Latino cocktail bar that specializes in Latin American-inspired concoctions, many of which include tequila, mezcal, and rum. Serenata will commemorate father figures on Father’s Day by hosting the “King’s Service Experience.” There will be free cigars and small nibbles for tables. DJ Lalee, a popular DC performer, will be leading the musical selection.

Service Bar DC: U St. NW, 926–928, A 2024 An ever-evolving drink menu at James Beard Finalist Service Bar D.C. is designed to liven up the neighborhood for residents. They provide traditional American fare, with a rotating menu that includes their signature fried chicken, which they declare to be the best. In conjunction with three other bars, Service Bar will create cocktails in the Taproom Extension of the Dead Rabbit Pub on June 10 from 6 to 10 p.m. as part of the Bar Convent Brooklyn Bar and Beverage Trade Show.

In an effort to depict America’s rich cultural legacy, owner Ryan Chetiyawardana manages a bar on the basement level of the Riggs Hotel. From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on June 10, Silver Lyan will include their distinctive beverages, music, and other events.

This event, which celebrates Bar Covnent Brooklyn with a twist, teams up with three of D.C.’s best bars: Service Bar, Allegor, and Press Club. Reservations are made via their website.

The Green Zone, Washington, DC 20009, 2226 18th St NW

The Green Zone, a restaurant and cocktail bar with multiple awards, claims to be the only Middle Eastern cocktail bar in Washington, D.C. on Instagram.

Their Middle Eastern influence can be found in drinks such the Mint Lemonade, Lebanese No. 1, Saz’iraq, and Janissary Corps. They have Arabic and Middle Eastern DJs perform music on Fridays. Their international DJ day is on Saturday.

Thirsty Crow DC: Washington, DC 20010; 3400 11th St NW

Thirsty Crow D.C., a neighborhood sports bar in Columbia Heights, has a varied menu that includes Malaysian fare. The Tea’s Knees, a famous drink there, consists of gin flavored with black tea and slated honey syrup.

They are open Monday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. On Tuesdays, they host King Trivia from 7 to 9 p.m. and offer pool tables for $10 an hour.
