Storm Alert: Heavy Rain and Potential Flooding From Strong Storms Through Wednesday Night

Washington —

Wednesday is going to be cloudier and more humid, with a chance of showers and storms.

With dew point temperatures in the low 70s, this week will have the highest humidity levels. The First Alert Weather team has issued a FLOOD ALERT because flooding is a possibility due to the extreme humidity.

The majority of the DMV is categorized by the Weather Prediction Center as having a “slight” probability of extreme rainfall, which might result in flooding with rapid start. It won’t be raining all day. Some of you won’t actually get any rain until this evening or late on Wednesday.

Keep an eye on the weather since certain slow-moving rain cells may produce one to two inches of rain or more. Because of the clouds, today’s highs will only get as high as 80 degrees.
