After a possible domestic violence gunshot in South Seattle early on Tuesday morning, the Seattle Police Department and a SWAT team got into a standoff.
Patrol officers were sent to the 5700 block of South Norfolk Street at 3:18 a.m., according to SPD, after there had been reports of gunfire. After discovering a 47-year-old lady who had been shot in the leg, they cared for her until she was transported in stable condition to Harborview Medical Center.
The shooting was linked to domestic violence, according to the officers. The woman informed SPD that she had been suspected of adultery by her drug-using husband. Before she could flee and dial 911, he shot her in the leg.
