A large corporation has confirmed layoffs in Arizona just one day before the Fourth of July, upsetting local families.
The Arizona Department of Economic Security has received a WARN notice from Schuff Steel, informing the public that 63 employees will be put off.
Just one day before the Fourth of July holiday, the corporation sent the notice.
Please be informed that in accordance with the WARN Act, companies employing over one hundred full-time workers are obligated to give sixty days’ notice prior to the termination of fifty or more workers at a single location.
There has been an increasing number of layoffs in Arizona recently, and this WARN notice is only the most recent in a string of them.

A number of Arizona businesses have also announced impending layoffs, and Schuff Steel is only one of them.
Other Arizona businesses that have laid off workers this year are listed below:
- In Tempe, Newrez is letting go of 78 employees.
- There will be 543 layoffs in Chandler, according to Northrop Grumman.
- Panera Bread has stated that 64 workers would be laid off as a consequence of the impending shutdown of their dough-making facility in Chandler.
- There will be 261 layoffs at Scottsdale’s Evernorth Care Group.
- Tucson-based TuSimple is reducing its workforce.
- There will be 546 layoffs at the Tucson-based Kalil Bottling Company.
- In Phoenix, 45 employees will be let go by the All of Us Research Program.

- In Phoenix, Walmart has laid off seventy-four workers.
- Some 42 people have lost their jobs at Savers in Phoenix.
- Layoffs at Devine Holdings in Mohave Valley
