The sudden closing of one of 200 Italian restaurants has left diners with little more than a notice of the permanent shutter.
As reported by WSBT, the sudden closure of the local Fazoli’s restaurant caught diners in Elkhart, which is about 140 miles north of Indianapolis, off guard.
Signs advertising the restaurant’s closure were removed and a note stating permanent closure was posted on the doors of the North Nappanee Street location following its closure.
For those in need of Fazoli’s, the Mishawaka facility, which is approximately 10 miles from Elkhart, was suggested as a suitable destination.
Locals looking for economical and fast pasta dishes often frequented Fazoli’s, a restaurant recognized for its Italian-American fast-casual eating experience.
The first notification did not specify the reasons for the shutdown.
In the annals of American dining establishments, Fazoli’s bears a noble heritage.
Established in 1988, the brand swiftly became known for its fast casual Italian-American food.

An article in Lane Report states that in November 2021, Fazoli’s began a new chapter as it was acquired for $130 million by FAT Brands Inc.

Doug Bostick, who has extensive expertise in operations and franchise growth, has been named president of Fazoli’s, according to Fast Casual, in light of recent developments.
