A woman was slashed early on Sunday morning in Harlem, and police are looking into the incident.
Authorities said that at approximately 4:40 a.m. on June 16, as the victim, a 46-year-old woman, was strolling on West 133rd Street and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard, a guy in the dark struck her left cheek with a sharp weapon.
The wound was described as “deep” by law enforcement sources. What caused the attack is still being looked at by the police.

The male suspect left the scene on foot, heading in an unidentified direction, according to the authorities.
The incident was handled by 32nd Precinct officers. After being taken by emergency medical personnel to Harlem Hospital, the victim’s wound was sutured many times.
