The fatal bus incident in Tusky Valley last year has led to the indictment of an Ohio truck driver on 26 counts of aggravated vehicular homicide.
In addition to eleven counts of misdemeanor assault, Jacob McDonald, a resident of Zanesville, is facing nine charges of fourth-degree vehicular assault.

Following Thursday’s presentation of the indictment, McDonald appeared before a Licking County court via video conference for the first time on Friday. He posted $1 million bond while appearing pro se.

The semi-truck that allegedly rear-ended a charter bus on Interstate 70 in November was allegedly driven by McDonald.
The Tuscarawas Valley School District marching band was en route to Columbus for the Ohio School Boards Association’s annual convention when that charter bus took them there.
According to the National Transportation Safety Board investigation, three adolescent pupils were among the six victims of the incident and its subsequent domino effect.
