An individual who “regularly” visited the home and workplace of former President Donald Trump’s would-be assassin also visited a building in the “same vicinity” of an FBI office in Washington, D.C., according to Monday’s claims by the Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project.
“We discovered the assassin’s connections through our in-depth analysis of mobile ad data to track the movements of Crooks and his associates,” the Oversight Project announced in a post on X (previously Twitter). We did this by following gadgets that made frequent visits to Crooks’s home and place of employment.
As the Oversight Project pointed out, there was a person who “regularly visited” both Thomas Matthew Crooks’s home and job, as well as a building in Washington, D.C.’s Gallery Place. “On June 26, 2023, this was in the same general area as a @FBI office,” the Oversight Project noted. The Oversight Project said in a separate social media post that it had found various devices at the would-be assassin’s residence and place of employment. There were a minimum of nine devices associated with these AD-IDs, according to the Oversight Project.

The Oversight Project announced the discovery of a second device associated with Crooks’s activities that traveled to Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 4 and July 8. This device was linked to the enigmatic individual who frequently visited Crooks’s home and office in Washington, D.C. “All activity on July 12th was stopped by this device,” the Oversight Project claimed.
In order to protect whistleblowers, the Oversight Project explained that it would not share more information with the congressional task force “due to the connective tissue between that entity and FBI, USSS, and other entities.” However, it did say that it would cooperate with “legitimate investigations” to provide more information about Crooks and his connections.
The Oversight Project said on Twitter, “Why would anyone feel safe reporting any information to a bipartisan Member task force that has a built-in feedback loop to those entities and a partisan interest?” if the Secret Service, FBI, Intelligence Community, etc. are to be held responsible for the shooting.
