Boston –

A federal court in Worcester handed down a sentence to a guy from Dallas today for his part in a massive cocaine trafficking conspiracy that spanned the country.

Judge Margaret R. Guzman of the United States District Court handed down a 49 1/2-month prison sentence to 39-year-old Javier Robledo Perez, with time served, followed by two years of supervised release, according to the Massachusetts Department of Justice.

The charges against Perez, which included conspiracies to distribute and possess with intent to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine, were brought to light in April 2024 when he entered a guilty plea.

For a narcotics ring operating out of Mexico and Texas, Perez, a Dallas-based commercial truck driver, crossed state lines with about 30 kg of cocaine.

Thirty vacuum-sealed bricks, each holding around thirty kilograms of cocaine, were confiscated from Perez in May 2020 when he was apprehended by law enforcement officials while traversing Massachusetts in his commercial semi-truck.
