NEW ORLEANS (WFCN) – On Monday afternoon in New Orleans, a police pursuit followed an attempted traffic stop.
Troops reportedly pursued a car after the driver allegedly fled the area without stopping for traffic infractions, according to the Louisiana State Police. According to LSP, the car crashed and caught flames during the chase.
According to the state police, troopers discovered the car was stolen later.

Both the driver and a passenger were taken into custody after the event, and none of them was hurt.

Authorities identified the passenger as 18-year-old A’Juan Preston of New Orleans and the driver as 31-year-old Danny Daniels of Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania.

Daniels was wanted on federal narcotics charges and a Vermont first-degree murder charge. Preston was assigned to Orleans Parish Jail, and he was assigned to St. Tammany Parish Jail.
Paris Vincent recorded video at around 2:30 p.m. that appears to show a significant police presence close to the intersection of Warrington Drive and Mirabeau Avenue.
