Officially opening to the public on Monday is a “newly re-imagined” rest facility in Ohio.

At the official opening of the Ashtabula County I-90 westbound Welcome Center in Conneaut, Ohio, on July 1, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine was present for the ribbon-cutting event.

At the rest facility, there are 41 pull-through truck parking places, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT).

“We want travelers to find their next vacation inspiration when they stop at our Ashtabula Welcome Center.

Whether you’re fishing for walleye, visiting a lighthouse, or touring a covered bridge, Ohio is the heart of it all,” Ohio Governor Mike DeWine stated.

The Storybook Trail, which includes a book from the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, and the natural Ohio flora and trees are great places for families to explore outside the Ashtabula Welcome Center.

A proposal to construct 33 new rest spots and renovate numerous others by the end of 2026 is presently underway in Ohio.
