Father-Son Firefighters Open Up About Their Unique Partnership, What Wonderful Journey Is – Check Now!

WFCN – Police enforcement In honor of Father’s Day, a local father-son team is sharing their experience of working side by side.

“Not only does he carry my name, but to see him actually going into a profession that I went into, it makes me feel good,” said Willie Marshall, Jr.

Having watched his father work as a fireman since he was a small child, Willie Marshall Jr. is currently a firefighter. He said he doesn’t picture himself working in any other field.

It’s been a wonderful encounter. I know I can always turn to my dad for advice and knowledge on what to do next if I have any questions, worries, or concerns,” Willie Jr. remarked.

It means a great deal to Willie Sr. that he can support his son in life as well as in his career as a firefighter.

“I can now support him from the sidelines once more because of my profession in the fire department. It’s a proud moment, then. It is, in my opinion, a proud moment for any parent to witness the influence they are having on their child—the teaching, the leading, the nurturing that has brought them this far in life. With particular regard to this parent,” Willie Sr. remarked.

Sr. and Jr. are quite happy to share this family-oriented activity.
