A Heat Advisory has been issued for Southeast Texas due to the dangerously high temperatures that are predicted to persist into the weekend.
On Friday and Saturday, especially during the afternoons, the National Weather Service in Houston-Galveston has issued a heat index warning that could reach 110°F. Particularly for anyone participating in outdoor pursuits, the combination of this extreme heat and humidity creates a substantial threat of heat-related ailments.
Those without air conditioning or who spend long hours outside will be in danger due to the exceptionally hot circumstances caused by the combination of high temperatures and humidity, according to the National Weather Service.
Everyone should drink plenty of water, stay indoors during the hottest parts of the day, and keep an eye on elderly or sick relatives and neighbors.

Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain Expected in DMV On Wednesday: Weather Watch Alert Issued
On Sunday, we may get a break from the storms thanks to a weakening frontal boundary that is moving through the region, which could bring scattered showers and thunderstorms.
Despite this, the weather will stay scorching, with only a minor dip in temperature.
Looking ahead, the weather outlook for Monday through Thursday indicates that the high temperatures will persist with minimal likelihood of precipitation. These conditions may continue to warrant the issuance of additional heat advisories.
