As more companies in the state submit WARN notifications warning of impending layoffs, the number of devastating layoffs in Georgia is starting to rise.

Keep in mind that companies with over 100 full-time employees are required to give a 60-day notice before laying off 50 or more workers at a single location under the WARN Act.

Geodisc is the most recent Georgia firm to announce impending layoffs via a WARN notice.

The McDonough-based transportation, logistics, and supply management firm informed the Georgia Department of Labor this week of 68 layoffs.

Operators, auditors of warehouses, team leaders, and many more are among those losing their jobs.
