A Man From Florida Is Being Detained In Washington After Stabbing Someone

An unexpected development saw the man wanted for a Florida stabbing being taken into custody by Washington State officials. Michael Jones, 25, was the suspect that King County Sheriff’s deputies apprehended in Seattle on Tuesday.

As per the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in Florida, Jones is charged with stabbing a guy on June 28th outside of an Orlando convenience store.

Though they are likely to recover, the victim—who is still unidentified—suffered severe injuries.

The inquiry is still ongoing to learn more about the alleged attack and Jones’s following cross-country travel. Together with federal authorities, Orange County agents obtained an arrest order for Jones and worked to find him.

Sheriff Thompson of Orange County remarked in a press statement, “We are grateful for the quick action and cooperation of the King County Sheriff’s Office.” “We will now work through the extradition process to return Mr. Jones to Florida to face charges.”

We still don’t know why the person was stabbing. Awaiting his extradition to Florida, where he may be charged with aggravated violence with a deadly weapon, Jones is being detained at a jail in Seattle.
