Just south of Daytona Beach, a Florida couple went for a beach day—a perfectly normal summertime activity, I suppose. Strange as it may seem, a couple walked off and entertained themselves, leaving their dog in a scorching car parked in the heat.
Lucky for the couple, a bystander saw their big brown dog panting in the backseat of the U-Haul and contacted the authorities. The puppy was found to be overheating in the truck’s windshield as the authorities reached the scene.
They said the temperature outside was at 86 degrees that day, which meant the car was probably around 100 degrees inside—and the dog had been in there for at least an hour.
The officers hurriedly poured water through the tiny hole in the window after hearing the dog’s panting and squirming through the tiny opening.

Thankfully, someone rescued the puppy from the truck, and it is now living with a kind local organization. But if they hadn’t been found in time, who knows what might have happened to this dog.
This couple should be permanently barred from having any kind of animal companionship, therefore please join the petition requesting this.
