It was reported by the Homestead police that three males were in a car that turned left onto Ninth Street.
The authorities reported that Luis Felipe Perez was standing armed in the center of the road as they made the bend.
There was a description of Perez approaching the driver’s side of the vehicle and starting to punch the window after the driver was allegedly forced to halt.
One of the rear passengers was hit by Perez’s gunshots after the driver fled, according to the police.
The incident was preceded by the suspect telling an eyewitness, “This is my block,” as stated in the report.
Perez was reportedly identified in a photo lineup by the victim and one witness, according to the police.

Authorities reportedly showed up at Perez’s house on Tuesday with a search warrant in hand and discovered him standing on the front lawn.
After seeing the police car pull up, Perez allegedly bolted inside the house, but he was seen leaving the premises approximately twenty minutes later.
The article states that a 9 millimeter handgun was discovered within the dryer.
According to the police, Perez began by saying he wasn’t home on July 4th, but then changed his story, saying he walked outside after hearing the dogs bark and saw other men with whom he has been having problems.
Perez allegedly told police he was in self-defense when he opened fire on the males.
However, authorities say that when shown with a photo of the victim, Perez claimed not to know him.
According to the police, Perez would not comment on the situation surrounding the gun discovered in the dryer or the location of the gun used on the shooting day.
Arrest warrants were issued for Perez on suspicion of attempted murder, armed criminal mischief, and exhibiting a firearm while committing a felony.
No bond had been posted for his release from custody at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center according to Wednesday afternoon.
