Southeast Columbus Shooting Leaves 2-Year-Old Boy Seriously Injured

Columbus, Ohio (WFCN) –

The Columbus Division of Police reported that on Sunday evening, a drive-by shooting on the city’s southeast side left a 2-year-old boy critically wounded.

Just before 9 o’clock in the evening, police were dispatched to the 4000 block of Carlton Avenue in response to a shooting incident.

Emergency medical services rushed the critically ill boy to Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

According to Sgt. Joseph Albert, the shooting was a drive-by, and the police are looking for a four-door sedan in grey or silver as a suspect.

Currently, there is no information that poses a suspicion.

“Do the right thing,” Albert is pleading with whomever is involved. This little boy, who is just two years old, had no right to this.
