Indianapolis, Ind. —
An individual who showed up at a nearby hospital early on Friday morning had been shot during a robbery attempt, according to the police.
A guy arrived at Community Hospital East, 1500 N. Ritter Ave., with gunshot wounds around 4:40 a.m., according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. East District police responded.
When Aggravated Assault detectives interviewed with a witness, they discovered that the shooting occurred at an Indianapolis apartment building amid what they described as a “attempted armed robbery.”
The gunshot appeared to be part of an attempted robbery, and the guy appeared at the hospital seeking medical attention following the incident, according to IMPD records. Authorities have not yet released the incident’s precise location or details.
An IMPD spokesman, Officer Lisa Martinez, said, “We received information that a male arrived at the hospital with gunshot wounds following an attempted armed robbery.” “Our detectives are currently investigating the details surrounding this incident to determine what transpired.”
The man’s health was not immediately known, and authorities have not provided any more information on the suspect or suspects connected to the robbery attempt.
