The authorities at the site declared Vinton dead.

Chicago fire officials informed WGN News, a sister station, that the public was not allowed entry to the baggage handling section.

An industrial accident was initially the reason fire officials gave the alarm. Nonetheless, Vinton was officially declared dead of suicide by the Cook County Medical Examiner on Friday, who revealed that she had died of asphyxiation by hanging.

As to OSHA’s records, Vinton was not employed by the airport.
