The National Football League just revealed their yearly Top 100 rankings, and as usual, there are a lot of contentious choices included in them. The fourth-ranked performance of Patrick Mahomes, quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, was probably the most shocking.

After Tyreek Hill, Christian McCaffrey, and Lamar Jackson, Mahomes rounds out the top four.

NFL analyst Peter Schrager added his two cents in a Sunday video post to his X account, and it has since generated quite a commotion.

According to the NFL’s top 100, Patrick Mahomes is ranked #4.Who’s spicier, the league’s number two quarterback or something else entirely? Lamar has won MVP twice in a row instead of him. For the second time, Lamar has risen to the top of the NFL 100 rankings. It was probably seen by Mahomes.

With only one major accomplishment—winning a Super Bowl and being awarded MVP—Mahomes soared to the top of the 2023 NFL Top 100.

At quarterback, Lamar Jackson was still ranked higher than him. The 2023 NFL Most Valuable Player award went to the quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens.

It is shocking that Jackson is suddenly ranked higher than the Chiefs’ signal-caller.

Even though it’s only a rating, Mahomes may take this as further inspiration as the Chiefs embark on their quest for a three-peat in the Super Bowl.

By the end of the video, Schrager stated, “We’ll have thoughts on Monday.” To hear Schrager out, it might be worthwhile to watch “Good Morning Football” on Sunday.
