The identity of the man slain in the crash near Columbus’s downtown late on Sunday night has been revealed.
At around 10:15 p.m., the collision occurred on westbound Interstate 70 close to northbound I-71, according to the police.

The vehicle, driven by 54-year-old Richard Barnett, veered off the road, collided with a median wall, and then turned over before coming to a stop on the driver’s side, according to the police.

According to the police, Barnett’s car returned to the right side of the road after sliding back across the ramp. It then collided with a curb and came to a stop.
At the scene of the accident, the man passed away after being pinned under the vehicle.
