Spencer Knight makes 34 saves, Panthers beat Ducks 3-0 to open home-and-home set

The Florida Panthers defeated the Anaheim Ducks 3-0 on Saturday night to begin a home-and-home series, and Spencer Knight recorded 34 saves for his second shutout of the season.

Gustav Forsling, Anton Lundell, and Jesper Boqvist all scored. Boqvist scored his career-high 11th goal of the season halfway through the second period to take the lead. Forsling added an empty-netter, and Lundell scored in the third.

The Ducks ended their six-game journey 1-4-1 after dropping their third straight game. Forty-two shots were stopped by John Gibson.

Sam Reinhart, the leading scorer for Florida, was given a game misconduct for kneeing Isaac Lundestrom in the first.
