Urbana, Illinois –

The suspected theft at a Walgreens in Champaign’s Campustown led to the Tuesday arrest of a guy from Chicago.

The 29-year-old Geovontae Galloway was taken into custody at 12:36 p.m. by officers from the University of Illinois Police who had responded to a report of stealing at the Walgreens on East Green Street.

The shopkeeper saw three males steal from the establishment and put the stolen goods in their bags. They were associated with multiple shopliftings in the neighborhood, according to police reports.
