One family acted quickly to rescue their home after the Palisades Fire broke out on Tuesday, quickly spreading to burn around 20,000 acres and demolish over 5,000 buildings.
The Gollings, Evan, Gene, and Patrick, fought off the flames as they approached their house in peril by using their special piece of firefighting gear. Along with a sprinkler system that can cover huge areas and a generator that draws water from a pool or other water source, the gadget also has a hose attached, which gives them the ability to fight the fire in a variety of ways.
“This was my dad’s idea,” Patrick remarked about Gene. “He has always preached about this. Anyone who owns a pool ought to have this. Get it prepared.
They claim that on Thursday, they ran the equipment for almost five hours in order to keep tabs on the well-being of their nearby friends and neighbors.
“It must have protected our home,” Patrick remarked. “Because everything around here is burnt, our home looks safe.”
Just outside the property’s fence, where nothing seems to have been damaged, there are charred remnants of greenery, as captured on camera.
“Assist yourself. However, you must have the proper tools,” Gene stated. “For the most effective task, get what you can. We have this equipment for that reason.
According to Patrick, firemen who came by on Wednesday were relieved to find that the family possessed a pool pump and were appreciative of whatever assistance they could provide while fighting the enormous fire.
