One injured in early morning shooting in Redondo Beach; investigation ongoing

An early Sunday morning gunfire in Redondo Beach left one person injured.

The incident in the 2700 block of Vanderbilt Lane was reported at approximately 5:11 a.m. Officers found the victim, who was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, when they arrived on the scene.

Although the gunshot is still being investigated, investigators say the event seems to be unique.
