One arrested for deadly shooting in Temecula

In relation to a fatal shooting that occurred in Temecula early on Saturday morning, someone was taken into custody.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to an attack with a deadly weapon in the area at approximately five in the morning, and they were sent to a residence in the 32900 block of Josheroo Court.

According to an RSO statement, “the suspect and the deceased victim were found inside the residence when deputies arrived.”

According to deputies, the individual who shot the victim was also the one who dialed 911. They were taken into custody without incident.

Neither the victim nor the suspect have been identified by authorities yet.

No details regarding the motivation for the shooting were given.

The inquiry was taken over by investigators from the Central Homicide Unit and is still ongoing.
