WFCN – Following a lunchtime shooting in May that claimed the life of Kevin Moscoso-Lopez, 21-year-old Erick Pineda of Silver Spring has been charged with numerous counts of murder.
Police say that on Wednesday, May 15, about 3:40 p.m., they received a call to investigate gunshot complaints in the 1900 block of Erie Street.
When they arrived, Moscoso-Lopez was bleeding heavily from a gunshot wound. At the scene, the resident of Adelphi was declared deceased.

According to investigators, Pineda is thought to have shot Moscoso-Lopez after an argument; the two were acquainted.
Pineda was accused of various crimes in addition to first- and second-degree murder. The Department of Corrections is holding him in detention.
