Mother Faces Charges Related to AMBER Alert for Her 4-Year-Old

The investigation into the Amber Alert for her 4-year-old kid led to the charging of a 24-year-old woman with assault and domestic abuse.

Regarding the allegations against Matthew Brown-Giamarco, Sierra Brown appeared in court on Friday.

Taysen Hixon, her 23-year-old companion, was also taken into custody and faces charges of aggravated menacing.

The father of the missing youngster reported him to the Columbus police shortly before 5 a.m. from a home in the southwest area of the city. It was reported on Friday by our news partner, WBNS-10tv.com.

Franklin County Municipal Court papers do not specify what transpired to lead to the alleged incident, but they do state that Brown is suspected of hitting the father many times with ties earlier that morning. While the altercation involving Brown was going on, Hixon is said to have pointed a gun at Brown’s father and another individual.

Unharmed 4-year-old Columbus boy found in the wake of AMBER Alert.

According to Columbus police Sgt. James Fuqua, who spoke with 10tv.com, the Amber Alert was issued at approximately 10 a.m. due to prior allegations involving the property.

Just after 11 a.m., the boy was discovered uninjured. She contacted the police, and Brown and Hixon surrendered.
