Miami-Dade Shooting: Suspect Arrested After Man Injured and Family Narrowly Missed

An individual has been taken into custody in relation to a shooting incident that occurred over the weekend in southwest Miami-Dade. The incident left a guy in critical condition and nearly struck a mother and her sleeping daughter, according to the authorities.

In connection with the incident, 25-year-old Glenn Roy Cassis Jr. is facing charges that include attempted murder, firing a firearm from a vehicle, and shooting a lethal missile, according to the arrest report.

On Saturday, at about 2:45 a.m., gunfire erupted outside a supermarket on the 21600 block of Southwest 102nd Avenue.

Tristum Hobbs was taken to Jackson South Medical Center in critical condition after being discovered shot in the back at the site, according to the report.

Authorities discovered over a hundred empty shell casings scattered across the roadway. According to the story, one of the bullets even managed to find its way inside a neighboring home, where a mother and her sleeping daughter were located.

The incident occurred near the crossroads, and according to the report, surveillance footage revealed that two vehicles carrying multiple suspects pulled up before they opened fire on Hobbs.

A car matching the description of one of the automobiles involved in the shooting was subsequently identified by the officers. The vehicle had damage consistent with gunshots to the roof, according to the report.

A sergeant was seen keeping tabs on the vehicle shortly after the incident, and Cassis was apprehended as he got out of it, according to the report.

The investigation stated that Cassis denied discharging a pistol, despite having a Glock 17 in his waistline with an extended magazine.

After being taken into custody, Cassis remained in custody on Monday. There was a lack of attorney information.
