South Dade County, Florida (WFCN) –
On Wednesday, surveillance footage from Miami International Airport in late July showed the moments when a guy allegedly attacked a transgender girl, who was 17 years old.
According to authorities, 29-year-old Alexander Love attempted to toss the woman over a railing on the fourth level of the airport after stabbing her 18 times with a butcher knife just after 11:30 p.m. on July 20, little after midnight.
The Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital was notified after the person survived.
The homeless Love apparently told authorities he was high when he attacked.

The incident was being investigated by authorities as a potential hate crime in July.
On Wednesday, he was still being held without bond at the Metro West Detention Center in Miami-Dade County on two counts of attempted murder.
