Man hospitalized after police shooting in Anaheim

After being called to the site of a potential robbery, Anaheim police shot and killed a manon Friday night.

The Anaheim Police Department reports that it occurred at a residence close to S. Maywood Street and South Street at approximately 8 p.m.

After being shot by officers and taken to a local hospital, the suspect passed away.

Although there was little information available late Friday, police said that they had been called to a nearby residence regarding robbery reports. When they arrived, they found the suspect allegedly brandishing a phony gun at them and refusing to comply with orders.

The suspect has not yet been identified.
