Los Angeles County high surf advisory ahead for the weekend

Beginning Saturday morning and predicted to continue until Tuesday, the Los Angeles region is under a high-surf advisory.

Los Angeles County beaches facing north to west are predicted to see waves of 7 to 10 feet, according to the National Weather Service. The beaches in Ventura County that face north to west are predicted to have waves of 10 to 15 feet.

Additionally, there is a warning for powerful and hazardous rip currents. Due to the possibility of modest coastal flooding, the most hazardous conditions are anticipated from Monday through Tuesday.
