LA County Community Brigade set to be honored for heroic efforts during devastating wildfires

Members of the Los Angeles County Fire Department Community Brigade are being honored just weeks after the Franklin and fatal Palisades fires devastated communities in the Pacific Palisades and Malibu districts.

On Tuesday, the Community Brigade will be honored during a Board of Supervisors meeting hosted by Third District Supervisor Lindsey Horvath.

The grassroots initiative’s members are receiving recognition for their valiant efforts in putting out the Franklin and Palisades fires.

According to the board of supervisors, the Community Brigade has been on the front lines, assisting first responders in their efforts to combat one of the most catastrophic natural disasters in LA County history.

According to the LA Emergency Preparedness Foundation, the brigade is composed of skilled volunteers who are equipped to handle mop-up, home hardening, and wildfire response.
