Jay Leno serves barbecue to firefighters at the Palisades Fire

Jay Leno became one of the well-known individuals lending a hand amid the terrible wildfires in Southern California.

On Monday night, the comedian and former late-night host assisted in providing food for the Palisades Firefighters. Erik Scott, a public information officer for the Los Angeles Fire Department, shared a video of Leno serving BBQ on social media.

“We’re grateful for his kindness & the support from our community during this challenging time,” Scott wrote in his post.

Leno also chatted with Anderson Cooper of CNN, who is reporting on the wildfires in Los Angeles County.

“A whole city has been destroyed. In his interview, Leno described the destruction, saying, “I mean, Pacific Palisades doesn’t exist and probably won’t exist for the next five, six years.”

The feeling of togetherness and neighbors supporting neighbors is one positive aspect, Leno remarked.

Leno remarked, “We’ll get through it; we always do,”

The comedian made further trips to assist those affected by the flames in addition to his visit to the Palisades Fire. Leno added that he fed people at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on Monday.

During this difficult period, Leno is not the only well-known figure to lend a hand.On Friday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stopped by the Pasadena Community Center to talk to evacuees.
