High school football transfer tracker: Which top players are switching schools?

The 2025 high school football transfer tracker is now live and searching for Southern California’s best players who want to change schools.

Football generates a lot of transfers; last school year, there were over 17,000 transfers around the state.

Players that transfer and physically relocate with their family are instantly eligible at the new school, per CIF regulations. There is an almost 50% season-long sit-out time if a player transfers and his family stays put. Athletes that sit out will be available on September 29, 2025, for the Southern Section, and September 25, 2025, for the City Section.

Through social media or by getting confirmation from coaches, parents, or players themselves, the listed players have changed schools. Until documentation is turned in to the City Section or Southern Section, their eligibility for a transfer is still unknown. Every week, the names will be updated, with the most recent at the top.
