Here Workforce Cut Soon! Massive Company Implements Large-Scale Layoffs Across Florida

WFCN –

Just one day before the Fourth of July vacation, which was originally scheduled for next week, a huge corporation in Florida has laid off thousands of workers.

The news was terrible for thousands of employees at UKG, a staffing behemoth based in Florida, right before the July 4th vacation.

Despite plans to announce the layoffs next week, UKG went forward with the cuts on Wednesday, affecting over 2,200 employees, or 14% of the company’s workforce.

The announcement’s timing was so shocking that it dampened holiday spirits and left workers reeling.

Workers vented their anger and disappointment on social media sites like Reddit.

“Each of my nineteen years here is counting toward my retirement,” one long-term employee wrote. No longer there.

Layoffs have many people feeling deceived and caught off guard because they were so unexpected and happened right before a big holiday.

“They attempted to covertly fire VPs on Monday while everyone was preoccupied with the holiday,” another worker revealed.

Since they intended to lay off everyone else the following week, they attempted to remain silent until then.

After the departure of VPs became public knowledge, many affected employees learned about their layoffs through FedEx delivery management, which had already generated shipment labels back to UKG for their address.

What has happened today has shocked and upset me greatly; their behavior was awful and deceitful.

Many people are unhappy with how the layoffs were managed. The fact that workers learned about it indirectly through FedEx shipment labels only served to heighten their already considerable anxiety and perplexion.

Workers are furious because they believe UKG’s actions were poorly planned and carried out without empathy or openness, as well as because they came out as cold and heartless.
