Ravenel County, North Carolina ( WFCN News) –
A juvenile guy has been arrested in connection with a shooting that killed a store owner, according to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.
The Tobacco House business at 2580 Airport Road was the scene of a shooting when deputies were dispatched at approximately 11:18 a.m.
The store’s owner, Mainank Patel, was discovered inside the establishment with numerous gunshot wounds when the deputies arrived.

After receiving treatment at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center, Patel was transferred to Novant’s Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, where he sadly passed away.

A tall, slim white man in a black ski mask, white Nike sneakers, black sweatshirt, and shorts ran across the store’s parking lot, according to video footage shot inside the business.
The culprit evaded capture despite a massive manhunt by K9s from Rowan County and a search by helicopter from the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
A male youngster was apprehended at 8:04 p.m. after leads had been pursued throughout the afternoon.
At this point, we will not publicize the suspect’s name because he or she is a minor.
The investigation is continuing at this time.
