Hard Scheduled! Dickinson’s Kaison Mangum Concludes a Busy Summer of Training and Activities

Kaison Mangum, a senior receiver at Dickinson High School, looks back on a season filled with tough training, great experiences, and personal growth as summer comes to a conclusion.

In addition to being a much-needed vacation from school, Mangum used this summer to prepare for his senior year of football, which would be both exhilarating and critical.

A Summer of Devotion and Planning

Throughout the summer, Kaison Mangum remained steadfast in his pursuit of personal and athletic growth. The senior wide receiver spent a lot of time practicing football, going to different training camps, and collaborating with coaches to improve his game.

To make sure he was in top shape for the next season, he trained tirelessly to improve his speed, agility, and general game ability.

“To be ready, summer is the time,” Mangum said. Preparing for the season’s challenges is all about focusing on your weaknesses, building on your strengths, and enjoying this time of year. For what’s to come, I wanted to be absolutely ready.

Attending Camps and Exhibiting

Mangum participated in a plethora of football camps and showcase events during the summer, giving him the chance to test his mettle against the region’s top players. In addition to showcasing his abilities, these events allowed him to network with college scouts and get some publicity.

“I participated in a number of camps and showcases throughout the summer,” Mangum stated. It was a fantastic opportunity to compete against other elite players and obtain insightful criticism from the recruiting staff. Putting in the time and effort to demonstrate your abilities is what matters the most.

Managing My Time Between School and Sports

Although football took up a lot of his time, Mangum managed to keep up with his academic and athletic obligations. He spent his summer making sure he kept up his good marks and was ready to apply to college. To make sure he was prepared for college and could graduate on time, Mangum collaborated carefully with his academic advisers.

“Achieving a harmonious blend of academics and athletics is crucial,” Mangum remarked. In addition to devoting time to sports, I made care to be on top of my education. I wanted to make the most of my time because both are crucial to my future.

Developing Oneself and Being Active in One’s Community

Mangum spent his summer helping out his neighborhood in addition to his studies and athletics. He shared his enthusiasm for the game and helped younger players hone their abilities at youth football clinics in his area. Not only did his volunteer work make him feel good, but it also showed how players can make a difference outside of the field.

“It was really rewarding working with the younger kids,” Mangum remarked. It’s rewarding to witness their passion for the game and help shape their future. Being a good example and giving back are both crucial.

Awaiting the Arrival of the Season

Now that summer is passed, Mangum is looking forward to the forthcoming football season. He is excited to put his knowledge and abilities to use in a competitive setting after working tirelessly over the previous few months to establish himself as an important player for Dickinson High School.

It is Mangum’s goal to “make the most of this season” as a senior. Being able to guide my team and make a positive impact is something I’m very much looking forward to. We’ve worked so hard, and now I can’t wait to witness the fruits of our labor on the field.
