Firefighters respond to vegetation fire in Griffith Park

A half-acre grass fire that is smoldering on a slope in Griffith Park is being extinguished by firefighters.

On a remote hillside, at the intersection of Glendower Avenue and Nottingham Avenue, the fire was reported at approximately 1 p.m.
