Defendant Admits Guilt in Miami-Dade Road Rage Case: Felony and Misdemeanors Charged

The Vibrant City of Miami –

A man aged 41 admitted to various offenses related to a road rage incident that took place in the remote northwest area of Miami-Dade in 2023.

According to legal documents, William Angelo Puig admitted to committing a felony offense of destructive behavior and two minor offenses of physical aggression and fleeing the scene of an accident that resulted in damage. Puig will be placed on probation.

A vehicle crashes into a bus shelter in the northwest area of Miami-Dade, causing significant damage.

Charges of attempted kidnapping, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and attempted false imprisonment were dismissed by prosecutors.

According to state troopers, Puig is accused of colliding his azure Dodge Caravan with the victim’s pickup truck while traveling north on U.S.

27 towards Krome Avenue, forcing the truck off the road and subsequently striking it with a crowbar. He was additionally charged with striking the victim in the face with his fist.

After admitting his guilt at the end of June, Puig was sentenced to four years of probation.
