Deadly Shooting in Central City Claims Life Early Monday Morning, New Orleans Police Department Says

NEW ORLEANS (WFCN) — Following a man’s shooting death in Central City, the New Orleans Police Department is conducting an investigation.

Officers from the NOPD say they were summoned to the 2400 block of Jackson Avenue at 2:15 a.m. on Monday, June 3, in response to a complaint of gunfire in the neighborhood.

Officers said that upon arrival, they discovered a male with a gunshot wound.

Concerns about violence in the neighborhood are still present, and a man has died as a result of a shooting that happened in Central City early on Monday morning.

According to an inquiry, the victim was shot after being approached by two nearby individuals.

An adult male with numerous gunshot wounds was discovered by police responding to a report of gunshots, according to the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD).
