The Miracle Restaurant Group, a major franchisee of Arby’s with 25 stores in five states (Illinois, Indiana, Texas, Mississippi, and Louisiana), has once again filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and plans to liquidate its assets in three of those states.
Eight of its Arby’s restaurants in Illinois are part of the planned sell-off.
Regarding the particular number of locations, ScrapeHero.com states that as of April 16, 2024, there are 3,413 Arby’s restaurants in the US. With 277 locations, or around 8% of all Arby’s restaurants in the US, Ohio is the state and territory with the highest number of Arby’s locations in the US.

According to a recent article on RestaurantDive, Miracle Restaurant Group has the following: The operator intends to sell seven stores in Texas, eight stores in Illinois, and two stores in Indiana as part of its bankruptcy case. It will then concentrate on operating its stores in Louisiana and Mississippi, leaving it with eight surviving locations.

The dates for the sales have not been announced just yet.
Many of Miracle Restaurant Group’s locations were shuttered when the company first filed for Chapter 11 in 2010. It was supposedly done in full repayment to the creditors.
In Summary
It bears repeating that the aforementioned matter is not related to Arby’s but rather to one of its franchisees.
The parent company, Inspire Brands, is doing well financially, and Arby’s is a brand that is expected to be there for a long time.
