Chalmette Man Charged in Fatal Shooting Incident in Uptown New Orleans

The tragic shooting that occurred at an Uptown park during a high school football practice has led to the arrest of a Chalmette man on charges of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder.

On Wednesday, while he was being imprisoned at the Orleans Parish Prison on unrelated charges, Yuan Buggage, 24, was apprehended by the New Orleans police

On July 29, while Tyvien Jirouard was helping out during practice at Evans Playground, a 25-year-old coach was shot and wounded by Buggage, according to investigators. Jimmy passed away while hospitalized. The police have not yet verified their original suspicion that the coach was the intended victim.
