Celebrate Pride Month: Numerous Pride Parades Happening Around Chicagoland This Sunday

WFCN – On Sunday, there will be multiple parades throughout Chicagoland to commemorate Pride Month.

The largest will take place in downtown Aurora, where the fifth annual Aurora Pride Parade will take place. It begins at noon at South Broadway and East Benton Street and ends at West Downer Place and North Middle Avenue.

There will subsequently be an after-parade celebration at Two Brothers Roundhouse, located at 205 North Broadway.

The Woodstock PrideFest parade starts at 11 a.m. further north in Woodstock. PrideFest began on Saturday and will run through the remainder of the afternoon on Sunday following the procession.

The Woodstock Pride Parade’s grand marshal is none other than Sean Lewis of WGN.

Additionally, the downtown Grayslake PFLAG of Grayslake/Round Lake Better Together Pride Parade kicks off at noon. It proceeds toward Carter and Seymour from the intersection of Center and Slusser streets.

A nationwide group called PFLAG is committed to assisting, enlightening, and standing up for LGBTQ+ individuals and their families.
