WFCN – Frederick Road in Catonsville is a great real estate for the annual Fourth of July parade.

Thus, weeks or even months before the procession, seats begin to be positioned along the sidewalks.

One company, which isn’t even on the parade route, set out a chair more than a month in advance since the event is so significant!

Craig Witzke’s Candle Light Funeral Home placed their own chair with the label, “Reserved – 4th of July Parade.”

The chair was set out on May 30 by general manager Patrik Fleming.

He declared:

As people reserve their front-row seats for the parade, we usually notice chairs, desks, and other items roped off around this time of year.

So, we thought it would be great to kind of poke fun at that and start that spirit early by placing a chair early and saying, “Hey, we’re reserved, ready for the 4th of July.”
Since May 30, the chair at the funeral home has been absent.

Many people have responded to Candle Light, according to Fleming, after noticing the chair. He claimed they chuckled at it and that it served as a reminder for them to move their chairs.

Parade participants are encouraged to utilize the Candlelight parking lot so they may walk to the well-liked event, even though it’s several blocks from the parade route.
