On Monday, in San Jose, a 42-year-old man from Seattle was taken into custody in connection with allegations of commercial sex trafficking.
According to the San Jose Police Department, the man traveled to California with the intention of engaging in commercial sex trafficking with a woman he met online and thought was an adult.
An investigation into “pimping and pandering” that started on July 1 led to the arrest, according to the San Jose Police Department’s Human Trafficking Task Force (HTTF).
According to the police, the man allegedly met the woman in San Jose on Monday in order to engage in commercial sex trafficking. Assistance was provided by the SJPD Special Operations M.E.R.G.E. Unit, METRO Unit, and VCET Unit.
