$5,000 in cash and a 5-year-old Czech shepherd named K-9 Axel were key components in locating the stashed narcotics.

Awaiting additional research, the suspect’s identity is being kept under wraps. Authorities think that the local drug trafficking network has suffered a significant setback as a result of this theft.

The CHP has asked anybody with information on this case to call (323) 644-9550, Special Services in the Southern Division, or (323) 259-3200, after hours, at the Los Angeles Communications Center.
