At Miami International Airport over the weekend, a transgender girl allegedly was stabbed 18 times by a 29-year-old guy. The man is now in prison.
One count of attempted murder in the first degree is against Alexander Love. A probable cause arrest complaint states that the girl, who was 17 years old, was found at the airport at 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, sitting on the floor and eating.
The victim was stabbed 18 times in various parts of the body, including the arms, shoulders, neck, face, head, and legs, after Love allegedly retrieved a “long butcher knife” for no apparent reason.
According to the police, Love persisted in his assault even after the victim made an effort to escape. The woman reportedly evaded Love’s clutches and dashed to the third floor, where she received assistance, after he allegedly attempted to toss her from the fourth-story railing.

The girl was taken to the hospital in a severe condition after paramedics hurried her there. The incident was caught on security footage, according to the police.
Love allegedly confessed to the attack during an interview with detectives from the Miami-Dade police department. He claimed to have met the victim at the airport.
According to Love, he also claimed that the female he assaulted might or might not have been the one who implanted narcotics into his rectum. He allegedly purchased the knife from a nearby Target because he felt compelled to harm whoever administered the medications to him. After locating and retrieving the weapon, detectives turned it in for analysis.
Love was taken into custody by the police and is currently being held without bond at Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation.
The airport was already in a state of chaos due to Friday’s CrowdStrike outage, which delayed scores of flights; the scene just made things worse.
A Delta Air Lines passenger told the local NBC affiliate WTVJ, “We heard the escalation of the fight and somebody said ‘run.'” Our group bolted at the sound of the word “run.”
Airport operations were briefly disrupted by the incident, but everything returned to normal once Love was apprehended by the police. Authorities explained that the victim was undergoing a gender transition after initially identifying him as a male.
