Brush fire extinguished near homes in Pacoima neighborhood of Los Angeles

Firefighters from Los Angeles raced to Pacoima to put out a brush fire that was raging close to residences.

The Los Angeles incident Department reports that the incident began at 12524 W. Foothill Blvd. at approximately 7:35 p.m. The LAFD reported that homes were exposed and that one acre had been torched as soon as the warning was issued.

Before it could reach any residences, crews put out the fire by knocking it down.

According to LAFD, no one was hurt.
